Our Story
Who are we?
Our tutors, trainers, and mentors bring both personal and professional experience in autism, ADHD, and specific learning differences.
Each team member holds a postgraduate qualification in neurodivergence, education, or social sciences.
We have in-depth knowledge of university life, academic expectations, and the reasonable adjustments available to students.
At Bridge, we follow the Social Model of Disability, focusing on holistic well-being.
Our mission is to empower students by breaking down barriers to learning and helping them make the most of university life.
We are committed to continuously expanding our understanding of neurodivergence by listening to students, conducting research, and attending regular training and events.

Our History
At Bridge Mentoring CIC, being person‑centred isn’t a trend — it’s who we’ve been since the very beginning.

When we opened our doors in 2011 and provided university support, we made a clear promise:

Every autistic person deserves support that is built around them — their needs, their pace, their interests, their identity.

Fourteen years later, nothing about that has changed, just who we can help has significantly grown.
-
We still take the time to understand each person as an individual
-
We still prioritise relationships, trust, and emotional safety
-
We still honour special interests as strengths
-
We still adapt our approach to each unique neurotype
-
We still believe lived experience matters — and always will
Our work has grown, our services have expanded, and our community has flourished… but our foundation remains exactly the same.

Person‑centred practice isn’t a model we adopted — it’s the heart of who we are.
From university support to EOTAS/EOTIS, group mentoring programs, workplace training to creative wellbeing sessions, every part of Bridge Mentoring is shaped around the young people we support. Their voices guide us. Their strengths inspire us. Their wellbeing leads the way.

Here’s to continuing the work we started in 2011 — and to every person who has been part of our journey.
